Pithursangam is a dedicated association within Lourdes Forane Church, Gandhipuram, consisting of the fathers of the parish community. This organization is formed with the vision of uniting fathers in faith, service, and fellowship, fostering their active participation in church activities.

Patron Saint: St. Joseph

St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus and the patron of families, serves as the guiding inspiration for Pithursangam. With his intercession and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the association remains committed to strengthening the spiritual and social well-being of its members and the parish.

Mission and Activities

Pithursangam functions as a pillar of support for the church, engaging in various religious, charitable, and community-oriented activities. The organization aligns its efforts with the needs of the parish and works under the wise guidance of the parish priests and the respected Sr. Animator. Some of its key contributions include:

• Active Participation in Church Events

  • Organizing and assisting in liturgical celebrations, feast days, and special prayer meetings.
